Dr. Angel A. Pacheco Paredes is Associate Professor of Accounting at Texas A&M International University, where he teaches across undergraduate, MBA, and doctoral programs and focuses on expanding access and pathways into the accounting profession.
Dr. Angel A. Pacheco Paredes is Associate Professor of Accounting at Texas A&M International University, where he teaches undergraduate, MBA and doctoral students and focuses on expanding pathways into the accounting profession. He earned degrees from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México and Florida International University and was the first Latino to earn a Ph.D. in accounting from FIU.
Before academia, Dr. Pacheco worked in industry roles at Trinity Industries, SAP, and AXA Insurance and taught accounting at ITAM. A bilingual educator, he integrates career preparation into his courses and actively mentors first-generation students while partnering with CPA firms and professional organizations to support student success.
