I'm not afraid to speak to a crowd.
Why did you choose to become a CPA?
I started college as an engineering and had no clue was a CPA was at the time. I just assumed you worked for the IRS. I found accounting and loved it. A chance to solve puzzles and figure out the "why" behind the numbers.
What's Your CPA "superpower"?
I am a fantastic teacher (or so I am told at least). I am really good at helping others to understand things.
What's something that you've done that has nothing to do with accounting but you're really proud of?
Probably my Lego collection (I think I'm close to 120 built sets so far with another 60 in my "to build" pile.)
What advice would you give to your younger self before taking the CPA exam?
Figure out what works for you early on in your studying. Videos, reading through book, flashcards, drilling on MCQs. Figure out what clicks and focus on that.
