Why did you choose to become a CPA?
I wanted to understand the language of business as preparation for a variety of careers. I come from a long line of engineers, so I would enjoy financial engineering.
What's Your CPA "superpower"?
My goal has always been to provide the greater context for why transactions take place and how trust in financial reporting integrity affects all individuals.
What's something that you've done that has nothing to do with accounting but you're really proud of?
My accounting background allowed me to pursue other credentials, like the Chartered Financial Analyst, for careers in investment banking and trust.
What advice would you give to your younger self before taking the CPA exam?
Cramming for the exam is only the beginning of a lifetime of learning. Consider how your professionalism will affect others in the future.
