You can use background utility classes to apply background colors to elements.

Use .bg-* and then append any color name above.

Note that these background classes don’t change the text color, so you may also need to apply a .text-* class to ensure good contrast and readability.

What CPA stereotype do you embody?
I definitely embody the “rule-follower” stereotype. I love structure, checklists, and making sure things add up. But I also bring heart to the numbers, because behind every spreadsheet has a story waiting to be told.

What CPA stereotype do you defy?
People think CPAs are quiet and only work behind the scenes, but I’m anything but! I speak on big stages, coach leaders, and help build inclusive workplaces where everyone feels seen and valued. CPAs are the Coolest Profession Around!

Why did you choose to become a CPA?
I wanted a career that opened doors and gave me options. My dad strongly suggested it as a key credential in accounting. Becoming a CPA gave me a strong foundation in business, and it’s helped me grow into roles I never imagined—from an auditor at PwC in public accounting to entrepreneur as a leadership coach and consultant and keynote speaker.

What's Your CPA "superpower"?
My CPA superpower is an "inclusion connector" connecting the dots between people, ideas, and possibilities. As a "talent gardener", I help others see their strengths and build bridges and breakthroughs that lead to growth and belonging.

What's something that you've done that has nothing to do with accounting but you're really proud of?
I was honored to be named the 2025 Cynt Marshall Catalyst for Inclusion Award for helping create workplaces where everyone feels like they belong. This recognition reminds me that impact goes far beyond job titles and what we do. It's more about who we are and how we lead every day.

What advice would you give to your younger self before taking the CPA exam?
Don’t let fear talk louder than your dreams. Study regularly with others to support you and to ask for help. Remember that you have done hard things before and can achieve anything you put your mind and effort behind.

Finish this sentence: "You know you're a CPA when ..."
…you bring both precision and purpose to the table and leave it better than you found it!
