You can use background utility classes to apply background colors to elements.

Use .bg-* and then append any color name above.

Text color

Note that these background classes don’t change the text color, so you may also need to apply a .text-* class to ensure good contrast and readability.

What CPA stereotype do you embody?
I follow the rules.

What CPA stereotype do you defy?
My handwriting could be better.

Why did you choose to become a CPA?
I wanted to understand the language of business as preparation for a variety of careers. I come from a long line of engineers, so I would enjoy financial engineering.

What's Your CPA "superpower"?
My goal has always been to provide the greater context for why transactions take place and how trust in financial reporting integrity affects all individuals.

What's something that you've done that has nothing to do with accounting but you're really proud of?
My accounting background allowed me to pursue other credentials, like the Chartered Financial Analyst, for careers in investment banking and trust.

What advice would you give to your younger self before taking the CPA exam?
Cramming for the exam is only the beginning of a lifetime of learning. Consider how your professionalism will affect others in the future.

Finish this sentence: "You know you're a CPA when ..."
you stand for the right principle, even when it is unpopular.

Becoming a CPA has been one of the best, most rewarding decisions I ever made, and I can’t thank the past benefactors of the TXCPA Accounting Education Foundation Scholarship enough for the opportunities their scholarship provided me. All I can do is pay it forward, give future CPAs the same helping hand I was given, and encourage others to do the same.
